Former Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia married conservative commentator Brian Glenn on Tuesday in a ceremony at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, marking a new chapter for two figures who have been fixtures in pro-Trump media and politics.
Greene announced the wedding on X, posting photos of the couple and writing, “Last night, surrounded by our families, @brianglenntv and I said ‘I do.’” The event comes nearly three years after both experienced divorces in 2022 and began dating.
The pair first met at a rally for then-President Donald Trump, a leader both had championed. In a 2021 interview with The Washington Post, Glenn recalled their mutual admiration for Trump, saying, “We both, 100 percent, were like, ‘This is the guy.’” He added, “It was like, ‘You’re doing what you do in Congress, and I’m doing what I’m doing in the media.’”
Over time, however, Greene’s relationship with Trump soured. After his reelection, she publicly criticized him on issues such as the Iran War and rising healthcare costs, and pushed for the release of files related to deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump responded by labeling her a “traitor.” This rift was detailed in Greene's sharp rebuke of Trump's comments comparing U.S. combat deaths in Iran.
In January, Greene resigned from the House, citing “self respect and dignity, love” of family as reasons for stepping down. Glenn also left his role as a White House correspondent for Real America’s Voice in May, saying he wanted to spend more time with Greene. The couple now plans to focus on blending their families and settling into a more private life, though they remain in touch with former colleagues.
Republican Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky, himself a newlywed, offered congratulations on X, posting a picture of the couple and writing, “Congrats to @FmrRepMTG and @brianglenntv on your wedding.”
The wedding underscores a broader trend of political figures stepping away from the spotlight, as Greene and Glenn join a growing list of conservatives who have traded public service for personal pursuits. Their departure from the political arena comes amid ongoing debates about the direction of the GOP, with Greene’s potential influence on Michigan Senate race dynamics still a topic of speculation among analysts.
