Rapper Nicki Minaj has inserted herself into a brewing Republican internal conflict, publicly defending Trump outside adviser Alex Bruesewitz after a House Republican reportedly threatened to grind floor votes to a halt unless President Trump cuts ties with him.

In a post on X, Minaj responded to a NOTUS report that Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.) told White House officials he would “vote against every rule on the floor until Trump fires Bruesewitz.” Minaj wrote: “Randy, Alex will be just FINE.”

Trump Media to Sell Wall Street Early Access to Truth Social Posts
Trump Media & Technology Group announced a new data feed, Truth API, that will sell Wall Street firms early access to market-moving posts from President Trump and other top Truth Social accounts.

Fine, a close Trump ally and a vocal supporter of Israel, was the sole House Republican to vote against a rule setting up debate on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act on Tuesday—a priority for Trump. According to NOTUS, Fine told colleagues he would continue opposing procedural votes until Bruesewitz is removed.

Bruesewitz, who is not a White House employee, has been a sharp critic of foreign-funded political campaigns and influence operations, particularly those linked to Israel. Minaj, who has called herself Trump’s “No. 1 fan” and collaborated with the administration on initiatives like the “Trump Accounts,” sought to de-escalate while backing her friend. “100% LOYALTY to our President. 100% LOVED by the Barbz,” she wrote, referencing her fan base.

The 29-year-old adviser thanked Minaj for the public support. “I am grateful for Nicki Minaj’s support. I will also always have her back!” Bruesewitz told The Hill. He added that he was unaware of Fine’s effort until the NOTUS report, calling the situation “insane.” “I simply don’t want ANY foreign countries funding online social media campaigns aimed at undermining the USA! Why is that controversial?” he said.

Fine’s grievances against Bruesewitz are not new. In a post last month, Fine likened Bruesewitz to conservative commentators Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens, both of whom have clashed with Trump over foreign policy and Israel. “There is a mind virus that is trying to infect the Republican party,” Fine wrote. “Tucker, Alex Bruesewitz, and Candace Owens fundamentally hate the American origin story.” He accused the trio of pitting Jewish people against Christians, calling it “one of the biggest issues” the party faces.

Bruesewitz emerged as a key figure in Trump’s digital strategy during the 2024 campaign, helping expand the president’s reach with Gen-Z voters through podcasts and meme-driven content. According to Politico, then-co-campaign manager Susie Wiles tapped him to oversee the campaign’s podcast strategy after he helped prepare Trump for a widely viewed appearance with streamer Adin Ross. He also brought celebrities like Vince Vaughn and influencers Jake and Logan Paul into Trump’s orbit.

The feud comes as Republicans hold a razor-thin majority, making any internal dissent potentially costly. With Trump preparing for a primetime address on election integrity—a topic that has stirred unease among some GOP lawmakers—the Bruesewitz controversy adds another layer of tension. Meanwhile, the White House is already navigating other distractions, including the suspension of an aide who bet on Trump speeches, as confirmed by the press secretary.

Minaj’s intervention underscores her unusual role in Trump’s orbit, blending celebrity influence with political loyalty. Whether her backing will shield Bruesewitz from Fine’s pressure remains to be seen, but the episode highlights the fault lines within the party over foreign influence and loyalty to Trump.
