Eric Trump, the president's son, released the official logo for what will soon become the Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach, Florida. The design, posted on X, features a golden eagle with a stars-and-stripes shield and olive branches, along with 12 gold stars and the airport's new name.
“For the first time, I am extremely proud to share the OFFICIAL logo for the Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach, Florida,” Eric Trump wrote. “There is no person more deserving of this incredible honor than @realDonaldTrump! Congratulations Dad!” He added, “Looking forward to seeing flights landing at ‘DJT’ very very soon!”
The Palm Beach County Commission approved the logo and a trademark agreement with the president and his intellectual property company on Tuesday, passing by a 4-3 vote, according to The Palm Beach Post. This move follows Governor Ron DeSantis signing legislation in March to rename Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) after Donald Trump.
Located about four miles from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, the airport is a frequent arrival point for the president. The renaming law takes effect July 1, but airport officials have noted that the three-letter code PBI will remain unchanged for now.
Representative Brian Mast (R-Fla.) introduced a bill in March to change the code to “DJT,” referring it to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on March 24, though no further action has been taken. The push to rename the airport has drawn both support and criticism, reflecting the broader political divides over the former president's legacy.
The logo's unveiling comes amid a series of high-profile moves by the Trump family, including other symbolic projects. Critics have questioned the use of public infrastructure for personal branding, while supporters see it as a fitting tribute. The airport's renaming is part of a pattern of Trump-affiliated initiatives, such as the controversial plan for a 250-foot golden arch near Arlington, which has sparked debates over historical preservation.
Eric Trump's announcement also coincides with other political developments, including Trump-backed challengers targeting Indiana GOP senators over redistricting votes, signaling the family's continued influence in Republican politics. The airport logo, with its gilded eagle and patriotic motifs, underscores the Trump brand's enduring appeal among his base.
