Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for a new two-part documentary series focusing on first lady Melania Trump, offering a look at her life since President Trump returned to the Oval Office. The streaming platform announced the project on Friday, positioning it as an intimate portrait of one of the most closely watched figures in American politics.

The series, titled “MELANIA, The Series,” promises to reveal “never-before-told stories” and provide “unprecedented insight” into her world, including the chaotic days immediately following the 47th presidential inauguration, according to a statement from Prime Video.

Episodes Focus on Family, Trust, and Mission

The first installment, “Family & Trust,” centers on how Melania Trump set her priorities before returning to the White House, while the second, “Pride & Honor,” follows her as she begins implementing her agenda. The series is set to begin streaming on Nov. 20.

This project comes on the heels of Amazon’s earlier release of a feature-length documentary titled “Melania,” which chronicled the 20 days leading up to President Trump’s inauguration. That film, which counted Melania Trump as an executive producer, cost Amazon $75 million to acquire and market but brought in only $16 million at the box office—a financial flop that nonetheless sparked political controversy.

Democratic lawmakers, including Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), raised concerns that the movie’s release amounted to a “pay-to-play scheme,” noting Amazon’s extensive federal contracts and regulatory interests under the Trump administration. They called for investigations into the deal.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, who attended Trump’s inauguration and has developed a warmer relationship with the president during his second term, denied any improper motive. “Amazon’s a big company and makes a lot of decisions. But no, this idea that somehow that is a way of buying influence, it’s just not. It’s just not correct,” Bezos said at the time.

The new series is likely to reignite those questions, especially as Trump consolidates his grip on the GOP and as Amazon seeks to navigate a politically charged landscape. The company’s dealings with the administration have drawn scrutiny, and this latest venture into Trump-related content will be watched closely by critics and supporters alike.

For Melania Trump, the series offers a chance to shape her own narrative, a role she has often embraced. The former first lady has remained a somewhat enigmatic figure, and the docuseries appears designed to give viewers a more personal look at her life in the public eye.

Prime Video’s decision to move forward with the project underscores the streaming giant’s willingness to engage with politically polarizing figures, even as it faces pressure from lawmakers and the public over its corporate ethics. The two-part series is set to premiere on Nov. 20, just weeks after the midterm elections, a timing that could amplify its political resonance.
